The Singapore Botanic Gardens is a sanctuary in the heart of the city, just 5 minutes away from Orchard Road.
The Gardens has been developed with 3 areas in mind. The Tanglin, which is the heritage core retaining the old favorites of the historic Gardens, the Central is the tourist belt of the Gardens and the educational and discovery zone called Buki Timah.
The Gardens’ have many freestanding sculptures, including the Swiss Granite Fountain and many more beautiful donated art-works.
About the Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage:
The majestic mature trees in the gardens are the natural heritage of Singapore and are important landmarks of the Tropical Garden City.
The Heritage Trees Scheme was announced on 17 Aug 2001 to help conserve and to educate the community on the importance of protecting our mature trees.
